With an undergraduate degree in Neuroscience, a PGDip in Global Public Health and Policy and an MSc in Psychology, Dorcas has an academically sound understanding of human behaviour. As a mental health professional and a global health advocate, she is passionate about empowering marginalised communities through grassroots efforts.
Dorcas boasts marketing and communications experience within the non-profit, social care, health care and arts sector delivering innovative marketing campaigns with organisations such as The A21 Campaign and the National Gallery. She has international project management experience engaging with various stakeholders. Dorcas’ practice does not solely rely on her academic understanding but also on her own personal experiences which allows her to navigate environments with empathy, compassion and intentionality.
Her DEI work encompasses and integrates the Power Threat Meaning Framework and Critical Race Theory, Dorcas believes this is key to a broader understanding of DEI. As a psychologist and DEI consultant, these methods tackle racism from a global public health view.
Dorcas is known for her desire to never stop learning, her astute inquisitive nature and her drive, when she’s not working, you can find her reading or engrossed in another Netflix murder mystery or serial killer documentary.
