Reece St Omer

Creativity has always been an area of interest for Reece. Having studied the creative arts at University and continuing this interest through his work as a playwright where most recently, he had a short play staged at Southwark Playhouse as part of a new writers night. This piece aimed to explore the expansiveness of Black male and queer experiences in the UK. 

An area of personal interest that has also continued into his work in Education. Reece is a member of the Young Black Teacher's Network (an organisation that was founded in response to the disproportion of non-white teachers within the education system and aims to generate a growth in opportunities for ethnically diverse educators), this platform has enabled him to further champion racial equality and representation within the field of education. As an educator, Reece is naturally committed to a love of learning and holds a particular passion for the history of English Language. A knowledge that has been gained through a continued study in this field and his teaching of the subject. 

A combination of lived experience and a genuine desire to bring about change has been the catalyst for Reece's progression in the world of Equality and Diversity and joining Mahogany Inclusion Partner's was a natural progression.
