What do you see as the biggest opportunities that organisations can take right now and how do you suggest they leverage this?

  • Have the courage not to back away from their inclusive culture strategy (assuming they have one)
  • Put metrics in place to measure progress; don’t stop at the easy stuff – days of recognition are all well and good but are your employees in marginalised groups (or at the intersections) really getting the same opportunities? Are they starting from the same gate?
  • Challenge “allies” to do more

What do you love about what you do?

  • Constant variety
  • Being able to influence and drive change
  • The people

What advice would you give to someone who wants to become more inclusive, either professionally or personally?

Don’t expect those in marginalised groups to do all the work. They are not here to teach you. Learn. Google (and books) are your friend.
